On June 20th, 2018, IT support and managed services provider Affordable IT will host the latest Curry Business networking event at Bayleaf Kitchen, Southampton.

The event, which is organised by Waterlooville-based digital marketing agency Tillison Consulting, is dedicated to business networking with a distinction, and proceeds from the June event will be donated to I Am Super Capes.

A selection of authentic Indian dishes will be served at the event, which starts at 6pm. Food for the evening will be priced at £20 per person, and an additional £5 donation to I Am Super Capes will be requested.

George Goodband, Founder and Managing Director of Affordable IT, says: “After attending Curry Business for nearly three years we are happy to announce we will be hosting our second Curry Business event in Southampton. What makes Curry Business different is there’s no pressure, no 60-second pitches and no punishment for not attending. All networking is organic and natural, allowing people to really get to know the people behind the business.

From their offices in Southampton, Affordable IT tailor support and services and work with business of all sizes, with the aim to make them more productive and efficient via the means of technology in the workplace.

George adds: “If business owners want a relaxed, out-of-hours networking event, then Curry Business is the event for you. Many local business owners will be in attendance and there’s no pressure to bring anything to the table other than a knife, fork and £5 for charity.”

Hampshire-based charity I Am Super Capes gives children the power to be children by making handmade superhero capes for children in hospital, children with additional needs, children’s charities and children fighting all sorts of illnesses, both in the UK and around the world.

Claudia Beard, Founder of I Am Super Capes, says: “Events like Curry Business are so important for small charities like I Am Super Capes. 100% of the money raised goes towards buying fabric, threads and the upkeep of the sewing machines. We also use the funds to post the little heroes their capes and for the purchase of the storage boxes so we can leave them at the hospital for the nurses to give to the kids who are in hospital.

“We are currently fundraising to purchase an insulated outdoor sewing office to store the fabric safely and so we can sew many more capes that are currently being requested.”

Hosted in locations across Hampshire, Curry Business has helped Tillison Consulting raise in excess of £5,500 for local charities including Breast Cancer Haven, No Limits and Smile Support & Care.

Mark Tillison, Managing Director of Tillison Consulting, says: “Curry Business is a social evening with no agenda other than to enjoy the company of other businesses while supporting worthy causes. There are no subscriptions, no memberships, no fees, no commitments, and if you gain some business from it, consider it a bonus.”
