Below are some of the changes that we are going to be making in 2018. We would recommend that all current Affordable IT customers give the list a read!

  • Monthly reports for support customers so you know where our time (and your money) is being spent.
  • Additional services added to our portfolio to help improve your work life.
  • A new and improved client portal as an additional means of technical support.
  • Changes to Ad-Hoc Technical Support.
  • Changes to technical support pricing.

Opening Times Changes

In order to make our services more available to customers during the day we are going to be extending our opening times. We currently operate from 9-5.30 Monday-Friday. In the new year, starting from January 2nd, we will be changing our opening times to 8.30 – 18:00, Monday – Friday. We appreciate that not everyone sticks to the standard 9-5 working day so we want to make ourselves more available for you.

Improved Reporting

We want to give our customers more information about where your hard earned money is going. At the minute people ring us for support and then pay an invoice at the end of the month to cover the time. What we will now be implementing for all monthly support customers, that want it, is a simple report that goes out at the start of each month. This report will give you a breakdown of the past months support so you know exactly where your money is going and where our time is being spent for you. Additional Services

Over the past few months we have introduced a further range of awesome services to help make peoples lives easier in their day to day working environment! In the new year we will be contacting customers that we feel these services will be a good fit for within their business to show you what it does, how it works and how it will make your work life easier, securer and more productive.

Client Portal

Towards the end of January we will be releasing access to our new client portal for all customers. This portal will have a range of information in it such as support tickets, projects contract information and much much more. The client portal will offer another means of contact where you can raise support tickets for any issues that you may be having. Don’t worry, you will still be able to contact us via phone and email as well as using the client portal!

Ad-hoc technical support

Unfortunately we will no longer be providing ad-hoc technical support. We classify ad-hoc support as support for people who do not have our Remote Agent and AntiVirus package. We want to offer the best service possible to people and by moving away from an ad-hoc support model we will be able to focus more on monthly support customers ensuring that their systems are working to the best of their ability. If you currently use us for ad-hoc support and want to still use our services in the new year then get in touch with us to see what we can do for you!

Technical Support Price Changes

No one likes the dreaded words ‘price changes’, however after having kept the same prices for the past 2 years (since we started!) we have got to make a change to the technical support pricing. Our new 2 levels of pricing will take effect from January 2nd. You can find the changes below:

  • Monthly/Block support hours will be changing from £45/hr to £60/hr
  • Non Monthly/Block support hours will be changing from £65/hr to £80/hr

The current prices will be in place until 23:59 on December 31st. As of 1st January our system will automatically switch everything over to the new pricing. If you would like to purchase any block or monthly hours for the new year at the current rate then please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
